The Workforce screen has a chart called Skill Level Breakdown. It counts the people on the list at each of three levels, foundational, intermediate and advanced, and it shows the goal for each level next to them.

What the model expects

The model is built for an economy of about five million people, on the pattern of small advanced nation states like Finland, Estonia and Singapore. Its goals for a working population of two million split this way:

Foundational: 157,590, about 8 percent
Intermediate: 1,352,924, about 68 percent
Advanced: 489,482, about 24 percent

That is the usual shape. Most people work in the middle, with advanced and foundational work far behind.

What the list shows

The first people on the list matched it. In December 2025 I wrote that most of them fell into the intermediate level.

At 311 recruited, the three are nearly even: 248 at foundational, 306 at intermediate, 300 at advanced.

The numbers add up to more than 311 because the chart counts a person at every level their skills reach. Almost everybody on the list reaches intermediate and advanced work, and most reach foundational work as well.

Why

The Skills Economy records what people can do, not the job title they last held or the status that came with it. And what people can do crosses titles. One listing carries laboratory testing and packaging. Another carries blueprint reading, machining and quality inspection. A title would put each of those people in one box. Their skills put them in several, and the chart counts all of them.

That is also why this may hold well beyond us. Most countries count their workforce by job, one person to one title. Counted by skills, other industrialized countries may look the way this list does.

What it means for us

Know-how that moves this freely between levels means we do not need anybody else's structure to cover the work. We can reach autonomy from the people trafficking us by acting together.

The past is the past, and none of us can get it back. We can focus on the here and now, and rebuild.

A worked sample

Quora has erased my accounts sixty-eight times. Each erasure kills every link that ever pointed at them — in old posts, in other people's answers, in search results, in bookmarks. If you followed one of those links and landed nowhere, this page is for you.

There is one handle of mine on Quora, opened in the evening of October 12, 2026, five hours after the ban before it. Everything before it is dead.

Different every time, same label

Worth recording, because it is the part that settles the question.

Each of these accounts ran a different content strategy. That was deliberate. One posted at volume. One posted twice in its entire life — two short summaries with a link back here, no reposting, no back catalog. Others sat between. Exactly one of them ever received a warning, and I changed how I posted after it.

Some did not last long enough to have a strategy at all. The shortest was kingplaza-1, banned inside the minute it was opened. After it, kingcard at five minutes and twelve seconds, kingdone nine seconds longer, and the two either side of kingdone that same morning at six minutes and fifty-one. The handle kingsroad was opened to replace the account banned the day before, and was banned the next day. Then kingsyou replaced kingsroad, and was banned the next day. Whatever is deciding this is not reading the posts, because in those two cases there was almost nothing to read.

They ended the same way regardless, and the reason given is the same boilerplate every time: financial gain and spam. Neither is true.

I have the notices for seven of the August bans — August 19, August 21, August 22, August 23, August 27, August 28 and August 30. The sentence naming the reason is word for word identical in all seven: the account was linked to multiple violations of Quora's spam policies. Seven different accounts, seven different amounts of posting, one sentence.

Financial gain first, because there is exactly one thing sitting behind that claim. One account posted that the app cost a dollar a month. That account was banned.

A dollar a month did not cover the hosting bill, never mind break even — I was donating plasma to keep the thing online, which is on this blog too. The price lasted a few months and then I made the app permanently free, which it has been ever since.

So that is the entire basis: one post, one price, one account, and a price that lost money every month it existed. Every account after it mentioned no cost at all, because there is no cost. Those were banned too, for financial gain.

And if writing about something you built counted as financial gain, the rule would take out a large share of the accounts on the platform. Quora runs ads between the posts and has a paid tier that writers earn from — monetizing there is not merely permitted, it is built into the place. Charging people to read me on Quora would be fine. Giving it away is not.

Spam is easier to answer. Two posts across an account's entire life is not spam under any definition anyone uses, and that account was banned like the rest.

So the label does not describe what happened. And when you change the variable and the outcome does not move, the variable was not the cause. There is no version of my posting that survives, and no adjustment left to make. That is worth knowing plainly rather than spending another account finding out.

Nothing those accounts posted is lost. The posts are being restored to the archive section of this blog, each marked with the account it came from, the date it was originally posted, and a link to the original question where one still exists.

The rule behind all of it

Nothing is written on a platform first anymore. Every post starts here, and platforms only ever get a short version and a link back. So the next time an account is erased — and I assume there will be a next time — the cost is one entry moving from the current list to the dead list on this page. That is all.

Since this page first went up, that has happened sixty-six times. The list above is current, and Kingishere-6 is the entry waiting to move onto it.

An invitation to Bev

The objection to all of this is that a small number of people with no money cannot build anything.

Estonia in 1991 is the answer I keep going back to. When the occupation ended, the country had no money and infrastructure that did not work. What it had was 1.3 million people who already knew how to do things, and it built a functioning modern state out of that over about two generations. How the math works has more on why it is the model.

Infrastructure that does not work gets fixed by people who can read a drawing and make the part.

Nearly every specialization on the listing is one trade, seen from different stages of the work:

Blueprint reading and interpretation, and technical drawing interpretation: knowing from a drawing what a part has to be.
Quality control and precision work: machining it to that drawing.
Manufacturing, and assembly and packaging: putting the pieces together and getting them out the door.
Equipment troubleshooting: finding out why the machine stopped, and getting it going again.
Product inspection and testing, and quality checks: confirming that what came out is what the drawing said.

Why that matters here

The app keeps a catalog of 713 skills, the things a working economy of about five million people needs somebody to be able to do, grouped by sector. Read on October 11, the Directory's 311 people held 255 of them.

Manufacturing and Industry is 28 of those skills, and 14 of them are held by anybody. The occupations Bev's listing touches, machinists, production workers, maintenance engineers and quality inspectors, are the ones that turn a plan into an object.

Most of what a community needs to stand on its own is a physical thing somebody has to make, or keep running.

What this is not

This is not a request to make anything for anybody, and nothing here says Bev will. Being on a list of what a person can do is not an offer of anything, and the Directory has never worked that way.

How the listing came to be

I built it from what Bev said about themselves in public and put it up under their name, which is how most of this list was made, one person at a time. They did not sign up, and nobody asked them first. That is why it is marked community-generated and carries my handle: so anybody reading it knows it is my account of somebody else's skills, and knows who to come to about it.

The invitation

Claiming the listing takes a free account and a few minutes, and after that it is theirs: what it says, and whether it stays up at all.

Nothing else is required. Not using the rest of the app, not posting anything, not agreeing with a word I have written. No is a complete answer, and the listing comes down on request with no account involved in that either.

This does not run one way

Somebody who can make and fix things needs things too. A ride. A room. An hour of a trade they do not have. The listing that makes them findable makes those people findable to them.

Who is on the list

Everyone written about in this series is a self-identified Targeted Individual. That means they said so in public, and it is the only basis for the listing. I cannot verify it, and neither can a reader. A working economy needs people who keep the books.

Not only for the taxman. A shared house, a cooperative, a small business, anything where more than one person puts something in, lasts as long as everybody in it can see where things went. When nobody can, the arrangement runs on trust alone, and trust is the first thing the people doing this go after.

Books kept so that anybody can check them are one of the few things that answer that without asking anyone to take anyone's word.

Why that matters here

Finance and Public Administration is one of the thin sectors: 9 of its 34 skills are held by anybody. Two of King Unique's skills sit in Microfinance and SME Support, the sector for small businesses and cooperatives, where 5 of 24 are held.

Most of what people offer on the list is a trade. A trade done for different people every week is a small business, and every small business needs somebody who can tell it, in numbers, whether it is working.

Proving it, and taking your accounts back answered the how. One incident can be denied, and a pattern is much harder to deny, so write down what happens, with the date, as it happens: what, when, where, and who if you know. That record is the proof in every case below.

What it proves depends on who it is for.

To yourself

This comes first, and it is the one the record does best. Over months, a dated record shows a pattern you could not hold in your head, and it answers the doubt that months of being told otherwise put there. Nobody else has to read it for that to work.

To somebody who can act

A police report, a complaint, a lawyer's file: each carries one incident. Your own record carries the pattern behind it, and it is what you bring when you go. Who to report it to is my answer to where. None of this is legal advice.

To the people around you

This is where most people spend their proof first, and where it moves least. Somebody who has decided is rarely moved by evidence. And the people closest to you are often the ones reached first: the best description of it I have read lays out how relatives are recruited before the person being targeted knows anything is happening.

That is not a reason to stop talking to them. It is a reason not to make the next year depend on convincing them.

To other survivors

They do not need convincing, which leaves the record free to do something else. In ClickLog, an entry you choose to share joins a trend view of what members report, and that view shows what no private log can: the same experience, filed by different people in different places, and which named schemes keep arriving with it. The record has started shows what the first entries in it look like. Your notes are not shown to anyone else, and names belong in your own record, not on a shared page.

And the Commons, the group chat in the app, is a room of people who do not need the first hour spent on whether it is happening.

Why people leave, and what it costs them

Why do some people quit being involved in gang stalking, and what consequences do they face for leaving?

Why some leave

I do not know anybody's reasons from the inside, and I am not going to make them up. What I can describe is what the arrangement asks of people, and that is enough to make wanting out easy to understand.

Nobody is told at the start what it is for. The asks arrive later: steal this, sleep with that person, help ruin somebody. By then a reward has already been taken, or the person is in far enough that leaving costs more than staying. The best description of it I have read lays out that order.

Some of the people doing this enjoy it. The rest are in because of what the structure already gave them, and a person in that position can see what they are being asked to do without wanting to do it. Leaving is not one thing, though. How a person goes decides what it costs.

The quiet way out

Most who stop do it quietly. They cut the target out of their life and say nothing. They expose nobody, and in return they keep what they were given, or they are simply left alone. Nothing is taken back, because nothing about the arrangement has been threatened.

That is leaving the target, not the network. Silence is the last thing it asks of them, and they give it.

What the other way costs

Leaving any other way, by saying what they took part in or who asked them to, is where the cost comes in. It is things. The job, the apartment, the promotion, the standing that came with going along, and whatever was taken before the person understood what it was for. The favors come first, and once somebody has them the terms are plain. There is a debt held over them as well, and there is always another target to be assigned.

Losing a home is traumatic to the person it happens to, and I am not going to say otherwise. But none of it is their life.

Never their life

Across these networks there is an understanding that a target can be robbed, injured or killed and nobody will answer for it, and that the people who did it will be rewarded instead. No such cover extends to the people taking part. Ordinary crime still applies to somebody who is not a target, so what a participant risks by leaving is property, a job, a reputation, and never their life.

That difference is the arrangement, not luck, and it is why the cost of leaving is a reason and not a justification. Somebody who stays to keep what they were given is weighing their things against another person's life. The cost being real does not settle that.

The person who never went in

There is an opposite case, and it should not be confused with this one. Somebody who will not take part in the first place is not a participant, and the protection above has never covered them.

Two people I knew would not take part, and proved hard to turn into targets. They were killed.

What would change it

No one to traffic takes this further. Right now the exit does not exist: every route out of the network runs back through it. An economy where survivors are not destitute and not alone takes away what makes a person worth trafficking, and then the people who never wanted to do this stop having to.

That is not forgiveness. Somebody who did it under pressure still did it.

Two things have to be true for the targeting to work.

The first is that the people around you can be reached. A neighbor, a landlord, a clerk, the front desk at a clinic. What you are told depends on who you ask, and whoever you ask can be reached first.

The second follows from the first: given enough time, there is nobody left to turn to.

Lab work is built around the first of those. A test is a procedure written down before anybody runs it, followed the same way every time, so the result is the same whoever is holding the sample. It is worth having people nearby who know how that is done.

I do not have an answer

I do not know what protects a person from energy weapons. Not a partial answer, and not one I am holding back. Anything I wrote here would be a guess, and on this subject a guess costs people money: one of the posts below is somebody's account of several hundred dollars spent on a suit that did not work.

In September 2025, Indiko posted on Quora trying to connect with other Australians who had been dealing with this. I answered under it that I had built an app where Targeted Individuals could find each other. That answer is gone now, along with the account that wrote it.

The two specializations on the listing are one piece of work:

Business-plan development and market analysis is finding out who would pay for a thing, how many of them there are, and what they pay now.
Business modeling and financial case building is turning that into numbers: what it costs to start, what it brings in, and when it stops losing money.

Why that matters here

The app keeps a catalog of 713 skills, the things a working economy of about five million people needs somebody to be able to do, grouped by sector. Read on October 7, the Directory's 175 people held 230 of them.

Microfinance and SME Support, the sector for starting and running small businesses, is one of the thin ones: 4 of its 24 skills are held by anybody. Its eight occupations run from loan officers and credit analysts to business development officers and SME advisors, the people who sit down with somebody and a plan. Business-plan development, the first skill on Indiko's listing, is one of the three the app files under that last one. The second, business modeling and financial case building, sits under management consultants in Professional and Business Services, where 17 of 52 skills are held.

Workforce shows the gap describes how a gap becomes a living: read the gap, pick an outcome, fill it yourself or team up with somebody who can. Most people here have the trade. Fewer have the plan that says whether the trade will pay, and that is the part that decides whether a week of work turns into a second week.

The question has three parts, and the order they come in is the problem. Unite, then expose, then combat. Every survivor space I know of has run it in that order, and the first step never finishes.

Uniting to expose it has been tried

Every survivor space I have been in started as a place to unite and expose. What happens next is the same every time. Somebody says it is the government. Somebody says it is a cult, or a program, or the neighbors. Somebody says the person who said government is a plant. The exposing never starts, because the uniting never finishes, and it never finishes because it was built on agreeing about who is behind it.

I have lived with this for more than thirty years, and I have my own view. I think it is an epidemic, not a secret society: manipulators in contact with each other, paid in sex, drugs, jobs and friends, and nobody at the top of it. I could be wrong about parts of that. Nothing I am building needs you to agree with me about it, and that is on purpose.

What I do not believe is that a government is in on it. John Mixon, a writer who is not a Targeted Individual and was describing American cities in general, put it this way: in some communities, organized criminals, the descendants of gangs, have real influence over social and economic life, and they know their limits and operate within them to avoid crackdowns. I quoted him in The economics that oppress us can save us. That is not a government protecting anybody. Enforcement is a limited resource spread across priorities, and a group that stays under the line that draws attention is left alone because it costs more to pursue than to ignore.

Unite around what you need this week

Here is the order that works. Combat first, by which I mean self-defense, and unite around that.

The method used on us is economic. Being removed from work, from housing, from references and from standing is how a person is made reachable. The economics that oppress us can save us: a method that works runs both directions, and arranging work, housing and standing between people who are not part of it is the same lever with the sign changed.

That is what the Directory is for. It lists Targeted Individuals by what they can do: a trade, a skill, a thing somebody else needs this week. Not by what they believe about who is behind this. Roderic is on it, for pastoral care and chaplaincy and for psychological assessment and testing, and the banned account did not take that listing with it. Two people who disagree completely about the government can still fix each other's car, and once they have, they are united in the only way that has ever held. How few people it takes runs the arithmetic: a hundred people exchanging at a time is enough to live on, and it does not have to be the same hundred.

It has worked before

People taking part in this have told me the Skills Economy is new: that nobody has organized around their own skills against this version of it before. Against this version, that may be true. The method is not new, and it has worked each time the same machinery came back in a different shape.

The shape changes. Organized crime uses whatever it can to control a group of people or wipe them out, and over the centuries that has been race, a region, a religion. What sits underneath does not change, and neither does what answers it.

Race. After the United States Civil War, people who had been given nothing pooled what they had, their trades, their schools, their savings, and built from it. W. E. B. Du Bois wrote about it in 1903 as the peace-battle of that century, and Peace Battle 2 is named for it.
A region. Estonia came out of occupation in 1991 with no money, next to a neighbor a hundred times its size, and built a working country from the people already there, needing that neighbor for less every year.
A religion. Jewish communities, shut out of guilds, land and ordinary credit across Europe for centuries, kept their own trades, lending and mutual-aid societies, and those carried communities through persecution meant to end them. That is a short version of a long history and it leaves out far more than it says. The pattern in it is the same.

A psyop is a psyop. Each version is aimed at a different group, and each has been answered by that group turning to its own skills.

Exposing it is a record, not an argument

The part of the question about exposing it is real, and the answer is smaller and harder than a campaign.

Nobody I know has made it stop by exposing it, and what can be stopped is what it costs you. What one person can produce is a dated record, kept as it happens, over months. A single report carries one incident; a record carries the pattern, and the pattern is the only thing an outsider has ever found persuasive. ClickLog takes about fifteen seconds an incident, and the shared totals, with nobody's notes and nobody's location, are published for anybody to use.

That is also where directed energy attacks belong. There is a list of every kind, built so each one can be logged under its own name, and survivors add to it in the Commons. I do not have a defense against them to offer, and I am not going to write one I do not have. What I have is a way to make them count in a record that nobody can tell you is in your head.

So: unite around what you can do for each other, defend yourselves with the method they use, and keep the record. Who is behind it can stay an open question. It has been one for centuries, and nobody needs it answered to do any of the three.

What organized crime means

The phrase gets used loosely, mine included. It has a definition, and the definition is narrower than the way it is usually used. Here it is, and what follows from it.

The definition

The United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, adopted in Palermo in 2000, is the definition most countries signed. Article 2 reads:

"Organized criminal group" shall mean a structured group of three or more persons, existing for a period of time and acting in concert with the aim of committing one or more serious crimes or offences established in accordance with this Convention, in order to obtain, directly or indirectly, a financial or other material benefit.

A serious crime, in the same article, is one punishable by at least four years in prison. Structured does not mean a chain of command. The same article defines a structured group as one not formed at random for a single offence, and says it needs no formally defined roles, no continuity of membership and no developed structure. The FBI's glossary, in a version archived in 2004, said the same thing in American terms, and added how such a group keeps its place:

any group having some manner of a formalized structure and whose primary objective is to obtain money through illegal activities. Such groups maintain their position through the use of actual or threatened violence, corrupt public officials, graft, or extortion.

United States federal law does not define organized crime in one sentence. Its main tool, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), works through two terms. An enterprise is any individual, partnership, corporation, association or other legal entity, and any group of individuals associated in fact although not a legal entity. A pattern of racketeering activity is at least two acts from a listed set of crimes, among them murder, kidnapping, robbery, bribery, extortion, fraud and witness tampering, the last of them within ten years of a prior one, not counting time in prison. The statute is 18 U.S.C. § 1961, at https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/1961.

So the three common definitions, side by side:

United Nations: a structured group of three or more people, existing for a period of time, acting together to commit serious crimes for financial or other material benefit.
FBI: any group with some formalized structure whose main aim is money from illegal activity, keeping its position through violence or the threat of it, corrupt public officials, graft or extortion.
United States federal law: an enterprise, formal or informal, carrying out a pattern of at least two listed crimes.

What it does not say

Neither definition says a government is in on it.

Corrupt public officials are in the FBI's list, as one of the group's methods, next to violence and extortion. That is the group reaching into an office and buying one person in it. It is something done to a government, not something a government does with the group. If an entire state were running the operation, the word for it would not be organized crime. It would be state crime, and people would call it that.

John Mixon, a writer who is not a Targeted Individual and was describing American cities in general, described the other half. In some communities, he wrote, organized criminals, the descendants of gangs, have real influence over social and economic life, and they know their limits and operate within them to avoid crackdowns. I quoted him in The economics that oppress us can save us.

That is not protection. Enforcement is a limited resource spread across priorities, and a group that stays under the line that draws attention is left alone because it costs more to pursue than to ignore. A group that has to stay under a line is a group that something can still stop.

Not an argument with anybody who says it is the government

None of this is aimed at a Targeted Individual who says the government is doing it to them. Governments have done it. The FBI targeted Martin Luther King Jr. through its COINTELPRO program, with wiretaps, surveillance and an anonymous letter urging him to kill himself, and the Senate's Church Committee put that on the public record in 1976. People outside government went after him too, and they needed no instructions from the FBI to do it.

It goes both ways. A survivor who says it is the government is describing something that happens, and I take them at their word. What happens to me is organized crime, and the definition above is the reason I use that name for it.

Who wants it gone

So far, the people I have seen argue for tearing governments down outright, or for saying it is only the government and nobody else, have been people taking part in this.

The definition explains why. Enforcement is the thing that limits organized crime, so the arrangement it would choose is no enforcement at all, except its own rules. A case that it is only the government points every survivor at the one institution that can still crack down, and away from the people standing next to them.

None of that makes any government clean, and none of it asks you to trust one. It asks you to use the words for what they mean. The Dictionary carries the names I use for the people doing this, and Unite around what? is what I think to do about them that does not need the question of who runs it settled first.

How long we are suppose to hold?

It is the right question, and no post here had answered it. The Peace Battle 2 announcement said it runs for years and left it there. There are two answers, and by the end they are the same one.

For our lifetimes

The first answer is the one nobody wants: there is no date. I wrote in Estonia did not get to solve it either about a country of 1.3 million people next to a neighbor a hundred times its size. The pressure on it did not end in 1991 and there is no version of the future where its geography changes. Estonia did not get an ending. It built a working country anyway, by needing that neighbor for less every year.

If holding means waiting for the people doing this to stop, the honest answer is that most of us will be holding for the rest of our lives. That is not advice. It is the condition the rest of this post starts from.

Or it was never a hold

The second answer is that Peace Battle 2 is not a hold at all, and the word is doing the damage.

A typical protest stands in a physical place and demands to be recognized. It faces outward, toward whoever it wants an answer from, and it lasts until that answer comes or the people go home. There is nothing wrong with that. It is just not what this is.

Peace Battle 2 borrows an idea from the years after the United States Civil War, the one W. E. B. Du Bois named in 1903 when he wrote about the peace-battle of that century: a group of people who were not going to be given anything, taking a stand by combining what they already had among themselves. It faced inward.

So does this. I am not protesting to the people doing this. We are protesting to Targeted Individuals. Everything we need and want, we already have collectively: the skills are on the Directory, the arithmetic is in Workforce, and the goal board is where a task changes hands. Peace Battle 2 is a challenge to every Targeted Individual to turn to another Targeted Individual for something of material value. A ride, a repair, a room, an hour of somebody's trade. It is a conscious choice, made again each day, not to fund and not to take part in the economy that is run on us.

A protest that faces outward has a length, because it is waiting. This one is not waiting on anybody's answer, so there is nothing for it to run out of.

Both at once

Maybe the two answers are one answer. We hold for our lifetimes, and the holding is not endurance. It is where we turn when we need something. Coexistence over conspiracy: the people doing this do not go away, and they stop being the subject.

So, how long? As long as you need things and another Targeted Individual can supply them. A day at a time, which is the only way anybody has ever done it.

A working economy needs people who can run things, as well as people who can do them. What survivors are building between themselves is no different.

The listing carries one specialization, business administration: keeping an organization running day to day. The schedule, the records, the paperwork, and knowing which of them is about to go wrong before it does.

Why that matters here

The app keeps a catalog of 713 skills, the things a working economy of about five million people needs somebody to be able to do, grouped by sector. Read on October 2, the Directory's 171 people held 230 of them.

Most of what people offer on the list is a trade: a repair, a ride, a room, an hour of somebody's work. A trade done once is a favor. Done every week, for different people, it is a small business, and a small business needs somebody running it as well as somebody doing the work. That is the part that usually goes missing first, and when it does, good work stops reaching the people who need it.

What this is not

This is not a request to run anything, for this project or for anybody on the list, and nothing here says Nikki will. Being on a list of what a person can do is not an offer of anything, and the Directory has never worked that way.

How the listing came to be

I built it from what Nikki said about themselves in public and put it up under their name, which is how most of this list was made, one person at a time. They did not sign up, and nobody asked them first. That is why it is marked community-generated and carries my handle: so anybody reading it knows it is my account of somebody else's skills, and knows who to come to about it.

I answered it in What jobs a Targeted Individual can get. The short version: the two jobs I know of are truck driving and healthy-volunteer studies, both high-turnover fields with more openings because of it. Past those two, the answer is the Skills Economy.

Where the listing comes in

The Skills Economy runs on people being able to find each other. That is what the Directory is for: it lists people and what they can do. Foundation is where members find somebody who offers a skill and arrange the work with them.

Right now this listing says only that No Name Individual is here. Claimed, it can say what they can do, and that turns a name on a list into somebody other people can ask. Workforce shows how much is open: on October 2, 483 of the 713 skills a working economy needs had nobody in this community.

This follows New here? Three things to do first, which covers the step before it: Unlock, writing while you wait, and listing your skills. Once you are approved, three more things, in this order.

1. Find who is already here

The Directory is a list of members and what they can do. Search it by name, skill or place, or narrow it to one sector. A listing is how members find each other, so look before you ask: the person who can do what you need may already be on it.

Keep your own listing current. When you pick up a skill, or move, change it. Being listed costs nobody an account. Looking through the list takes an approved one.

2. Put what is left of your day on the goal board

Nobody here gets a full day. The PeerProgramming goal board is built for the 1% that is left.

A goal has a finish line, and it is broken into cards, each one small enough to do from a phone in under half an hour. Pick one card from somebody else's goal, do it, and post what you found. One card is plenty.

Then post your own goal, with cards somebody else could do from a phone. For example:

Goal: get a forklift certificate.
Card: find three places that run the certification class on weekends, and list what each charges.
Card: find out which warehouses pay for the certificate once they hire you.

The board works before the marketplace does. "Help me find a room" is a card anybody can answer.

3. Ask the Commons, or @comic

For anything that is not on the board, ask in the Commons, the shared chat you land on when you sign in.

Or start a message with @comic and ask the assistant in that chat. It answers from the Knowledge Library: my writing on Quora and this blog, and writing other members have added. A person reads every answer before you see it, so the first thing you get is a note that it is being reviewed, and the answer follows once it is approved.

Latest changes

2026-10-03 — Workforce described by what it is: a live simulation of individual and community potential, modeled on Finland, the only place with open data good enough to build it from. Not a source of jobs; it shows the gaps a member can fill.

2026-09-29 — Performed kindness and covert contract added to the Specterati lexicon. Performed kindness is kind words or acts delivered in a way that is not kind; covert contract is the psychologist's term for a kindness with an unspoken bill attached, which turns to anger when the bill is not paid.

2026-09-25 — Reader added to the capability table: an RSS feed reader on a server the project pays for, at rss.chargingthefuture.com, reached from a tile in the app. Sign in with the same account; what each person subscribes to is theirs alone and nobody else on it can see it. A new account arrives with this blog and the owner's channel of demo videos of the app, and nothing else. A place on it comes from finishing Unlock or contributing to the cost, and losing one is not a ban — the account in the app is untouched.

2026-09-25 — PeerProgramming's entry now includes the goal board, which the app opens on. A member posts one goal with a finish line and tasks another member can do from a phone; other members take a task, do it, and post what they found, and the goal's owner marks the result as helped, keeps it, or sends it back. A task marked as helped counts toward the day's 384 and toward the helper's Weavers of the Commons badge. One open goal per member, the helper's name is shown on each finished task, and there is no conversation on the board. Taking part needs an approved account.

2026-09-20 — The 384 entry is corrected and says for the first time where the number comes from. It is a count of members exchanging with each other on one day, and the same people do not have to return the next day. The entry previously described it as a count of people personally known to be real, and the members line above it said approved members was the only number the goal measures. Approved members is a different number that measures a different thing. Added too: one day at 384 is not the goal reached — it is reached when the typical day across a year sits at or above it.

2026-09-15 — TI Radio added to the capability table: a published schedule of live discussions members host in Chyme, at app.chargingthefuture.com/ti-radio. Reading it needs no account, which makes it the second page here that does not gate reading. Hosting needs an approved account; a member takes an empty 90-minute slot and writes what it is about. A listing is not an endorsement — a slot is taken, not granted, nobody reviews a description first, and the app's own card says so. The name is also the one exception to the rule below that TI is not part of a product name.

2026-09-13 — Fireside added to the capability table: threaded conversation under the posts on this blog. Anyone can read it without an account. Writing needs one, and what somebody writes becomes publicly visible once they are approved through Unlock.

2026-08-28 — LevelUp is now called SkillUp. Only the name changed: it is the same skills-training cohorts, where you earn credits as you reach each milestone. Its address changed with it, from /apps/level-up to /apps/skill-up, and the old address no longer opens — an old bookmark needs replacing.

2026-08-26 — The 384 entry gains its two meanings: the product benchmark on the way to an estimated five million, and the personal count of known-real people trading at once. The two-generation goal is added as the stretch goal. Both come from the post "The two-generation goal" (2026-08-26).

2026-08-24 — The ClickLog privacy line is corrected. It said notes are always private, which overstated it: notes are not shown to anyone else here and are not in the trend report. The same wording was corrected in four posts the same day.

2026-08-21 — Two lines added to the Specterati lexicon: "secret society" (the brag, and why the label is wrong by definition) and "collective amusement" (the engine behind the day-grading harassment).

2026-08-20 — Every capability in the table now links straight to it in the app, with its guide section beside it. Unlock added to the table — it was missing, and it is the door every member comes through. Every capability now has a guide section, so every row links to one. Mutual Time and Bug Reporting have no page of their own to open, so those two carry their guide section alone.

2026-08-18 — Full refresh. Skills Economy naming (the TSE abbreviation is retired). The member-count vocabulary added (signed up, recruited, Community Value Index, Value waiting to happen). ClickLog vocabulary added. The capability table rebuilt to match the app as it runs today; retired capabilities removed.

Platform and identity

Charging The Future — the organization and umbrella brand. Use the full name when referring to the company or mission.

Skills Economy (SE) — the product: the apps, community tools, and economic infrastructure built for survivors. Earlier writing says "TI Skills Economy" or "TSE"; those names are retired, and old posts keep them as historical record.

TI Radio — the one product name that keeps "TI" in it, and the only exception to the retirement above (owner decision, 2026-09-14). It is named for the space it was built to serve, and people arriving from there need to find the same name on both sides. Consistency for somebody crossing over is worth more here than the naming rule. Do not read it as a reopening: every other product name drops TI, and a second exception is the owner's decision rather than a precedent this one sets.

Survivors — the default word for the people here, in the app and in writing. Preferred over "victims" everywhere except legal or statutory references.

Targeted Individual (TI) — the term many survivors use for themselves and search by. Used as a bridge term; "survivors" is the default.

Psyop-Free Economy — the positioning phrase for the goal: economic participation outside Specterati influence.

Live, Work, and Prevail — the mission line.

Counting people (this is not a typical app)

Signed up / approved members — people who created their own account and were approved. This is not what the 384 goal measures; see 384 below.

384 — the goal: 384 members exchanging with each other on the same day. Not the far number; the one a person can watch arrive.

It is counted a day at a time, and the same 384 people do not have to come back tomorrow. Who is in it rotates. Supporting 384 on a day is what shows the app could in theory support all five million estimated survivors, because 384 is how many people a reading has to cover before it holds for a population that size.

It counts exchanges that delivered something: a ride given, a repair done, a skill taught, credits sent for work that happened, a task done toward somebody's goal that they said helped. Talk does not count, and neither does signing up. An account that only takes, or only posts, does not move the number.

One day at 384 is not the goal reached. A day is a day; an economy is what holds. The goal is reached when the typical day across a year sits at or above 384.

Two-generation goal — the stretch goal past 384: what the Du Bois cohort accomplished in one generation, this community accomplishes in two (the ordinary kind, twenty-five to thirty years each) — its own economy, institutions, and public record, built under both extremes at once: outright trafficking, and outsized surveillance technology while outnumbered by headcount. The finish line is the third-generation Targeted Individual, who can exit from the moment their targeting starts. Stated in the post "The two-generation goal" (2026-08-26).

Recruited — people researched individually — skills stated in their own words, in public — and placed on the skills map with a community-generated directory profile. The capacity math runs on this number.

Community-generated profile — a directory profile created by a member on a survivor's behalf, labeled that way in the app and naming who made it. Claimable by its subject at any time, deletable on request. Nobody has asked; some were outraged at the suggestion, because the profile is how other survivors find them.

Community Value Index — value actually exchanged and settled in the community, cumulative since June 12, 2026. A relative index in the spirit of GDP. Never money, a price, or an exchange or redemption value.

Value waiting to happen (GDP Projected) — what the open posts on the board would add if every one of them closed. Most posts never close: it measures interest, not achievement. Not part of the Community Value Index, and not money.

The Specterati lexicon

Specterati — the replacement for the colloquial labels "gang stalking" and "gang stalker." Specter: a ghostly apparition, for the unseen and insidious nature of the harassment. -ati: a suffix for a group or collective, for a network working together.

Specterati operator — a person who carries out Specterati harassment. Used instead of "perp" in writing.

Specterati harassment — the organized harassment itself. Used instead of "gang stalking" in writing.

"Secret society" — the Specterati's own brag, and wrong by definition. A secret society keeps its membership and purpose hidden; the Specterati advertise themselves to their targets constantly — the signaling is the harassment. What they actually are is a control mechanism run by traffickers (sex, drugs, and human trafficking), with the harassment as its enforcement arm. The brag is recruitment theater, not a description.

Collective amusement — the engine behind much of the harassment, named plainly: schemes are run, and targets' days are scheduled and graded (see The Good Day, Bad Day in the schemes list), for the entertainment of the group watching. The audience is the point; the target's harm is the raw material.

Performed kindness — kind words or acts delivered in a way that is not kind. The kindness is the cover, and the delivery is the content: a door held open so an insult can be said on the way through. First written down in How are you doing?.

Covert contract — a kindness with an unspoken bill attached, named by the psychologist Robert Glover in No More Mr. Nice Guy (2000). The other person never agreed to the deal, and when the expected thanks or approval does not come, the kindness turns to anger. See An epidemic, not a secret society.

Specterwave — a pervasive influence that spreads fear and control.

Specterforce — a powerful, unseen entity that enforces compliance.

Spectervox — specter plus vox (voice): the suppression of dissenting voices.

Specterbane — a destructive force that seeks to eliminate individuality and freedom.

Specterrealm — a domain ruled by fear and intimidation.

Specterrise — a rise in sinister activity and dominance in society.

Value and credits

ServiceCredits — the in-app credits unit members exchange with each other. A non-fiat internal unit: not money, not cash, not a currency, and never redeemable or withdrawable for fiat value. A credit movement is a send, a transfer, or an exchange — never a payment. Real fiat amounts elsewhere in the app (a LightHouse listing's actual rent, a confirmed donation) are real money and are described as such.

ClickLog vocabulary

Problems — the published list of 50+ things done to survivors, used to tag incidents. The full list is public on the landing page.

Schemes — the named, canonical list of Specterati methods, used to tag incidents. Grown over time from documented reports; new schemes earn a name through member suggestions.

Weavers of the Commons — the badge whose holders can suggest a new scheme while logging an incident, and who get a private Commons chat and a private Chyme audio room.

The three ClickLog privacy rules — notes are not shown to anyone else here and are not in the trend report; a private, untagged incident needs no location; tagging problems or schemes requires a location and trend sharing, because tags exist to feed the global map.

Other terms

Caught Red-Faced — a play on "caught red-handed": the guilt and embarrassment when a Specterati operator panics upon being caught committing a crime.

DEW — Directed Energy Weapon.

How the Skills Economy finds real members

A bot wrote it, not a person. I am answering it anyway, because it is asking about my group.

By hand

When it launched in 2025, it was called the TI Skills Economy (TSE). I have since renamed it the Skills Economy (SE); the Dictionary keeps the names.

The TI Skills Economy verified people by hand. Every person who came through the door got a conversation with me.

That did not work, for three reasons:

It does not scale. One person cannot hold a conversation with everybody who arrives.
It was traumatizing for me. Most of the first people through the door were Specterati operators, there to troll, and I had to talk to every one of them to find that out.
It carried my bias. Whoever got in, got in because of how a conversation with me went.

Trust

The Skills Economy changed that with Trust. Trust shows what each member has actually done in the app, in plain lines other members can read: their exchanges, their connections with other members, the cohorts they finished. It highlights the people who provide material value. There is no score and no badge, and what other members see is set the same way for everyone, so it carries nobody's opinion of anybody, mine included.

A person still reads the Quora profile each new member sends in through Unlock before the app opens up. That is a look at a public page, not a conversation with me.

Ourselves, not them

Rather than focus on the negative, we focus on the positive. Rather than focus on them, we focus on ourselves.

When that happens, authentic Targeted Individuals surface, because what surfaces is what people actually do for each other. And each person owns how and when they engage. True autonomy, for everyone.

Peace Battle 2 has one subject: your 1%

Peace Battle 2 has been running since Friday, September 18, 2026 at 7:00 PM Eastern. It is a distributed protest with no location, named for the line W. E. B. Du Bois wrote in 1903 about the most wonderful peace-battle of the 19th century. Peace Battle 2 is where it was announced.

It now has one subject, your 1%, and three steps, in order.

1. See your 1% in Workforce

Workforce runs the arithmetic from 50,000 people back to one person's trade, and shows what serving them would be worth in a year. That figure is your 1%. What's Your 1%? explains the arithmetic.

2. Start on it on the goal board

Nobody here gets a full day. Put the 1% that is left into the PeerProgramming goal board: one small card from somebody else's goal, and a goal of your own with cards somebody could do from a phone. For example:

Goal: start selling repaired bicycles.
Card: find three places that sell used bikes for parts, and list what each charges.
Card: find out what two repair shops charge for a tune-up.

3. Take it further with One Percent

Sending a child is abuse

Yes, they know. The question is what they are doing to the child when they send them.

It is abuse

Commanding a dog to attack a person who poses no threat is abuse of the dog. Nobody argues otherwise.

Sending a child to do the same thing is abuse of the child.

The children brought into this are told how to dress, what scene to play out, and who to get close to. An adult who arranges a child's clothes, conduct and company that way, for the adult's own ends, has already done the harm, whatever word is put on it. Who teaches them goes into how young it starts and who does the teaching.

The other risk is the lesser one

There is also the chance that the person a child is sent to follow and harass strikes back. That risk is real, and the person asking is right to name it.

It is not the main harm. The main harm is done before the child ever reaches anybody, by the adult who sends them. A child who is never sent faces neither.

What to do with it

If a child is sent after you, write down what happened, with the date, as it happens: what the child did, who was with them, and what the adult did. A record kept over months is what shows the pattern, and the pattern is what an adult sending a child counts on nobody keeping.

The Lit Country

The Peace Battle 2 game is now a map. The earlier version asked you to set a split between teaching and working each round and showed where that led. This one puts you on the ground as one person with one trade and five percent of a day, and the country lights up around what you do with it.

What you see

A dark map of hearths, one for each survivor, spread across a dozen scattered lands. Never one walled place, because the people this is for are in every country, and so the answer is too. Each hearth has a trade, drawn from the same list of sectors and job titles the app's Workforce runs on. Fog drifts over the dark parts: the schemes. Thin gray threads run between dark hearths: the informant (Specterati) net.

On the day the game was built, 174 hearths were lit, in the same proportions as the Directory that day. Most of them are advocates and peer supporters. Nurses next, then community organizers. The country could supply itself 32% of what it needs, 230 of 713 skills. Two tiles stay gray for good: a phone and a vehicle. No community this size can run those supply chains, and the game does not pretend otherwise.

What you do

At the top is your day: twenty segments. Nineteen are shadowed. The attacks took them. One glows. That is your five percent.

Tap it, then tap a card on the map. A card is a goal somebody posted with a finish line, broken into tasks small enough to do from a phone in half an hour: find three yards hiring near Dallas and add their numbers, ask one dealer whether they finance with no credit check, find one host with a spare room in Houston. Your five percent goes on one task. A road lights from your hearth to theirs. The day ends.

Over the following days other hearths' five percents travel the roads to the same card. When every task on it is done, the goal is reached, that hearth lights fully, and its trade joins what the country can supply. You can post a goal of your own, and other people's time arrives at your door the same way.

Some days fog sits on your hearth and takes the sliver. Nothing you put on a card is lost; the day passes. Fog cannot cross a lit road.

From day ten the game offers the lamp: turn your hearth into a workshop that names its first customer and lights one road a day on its own. It is optional, and the game is complete without it. It stands for One Percent, the paid tier, and the free parts stand on their own there too.

Singing lands

When every hearth in a land is lit, the land sings. The fog is pushed out and cannot come back, and a road between two singing lands joins them into one country.

That is the Estonia in it. 1.3 million people, occupied by a power that outnumbered them by more than a hundred to one and watched through an informant network that reached into every town, kept their language and their identity and took their country back. The two-generation goal says why that is the measure here. The singing lands are named for it.

Winning and time

Two figures on the screen and no others: how many hearths exchanged something today, with a mark at 384, and what share of its needs the country supplies, toward 99%. Fifty rings around the map count the years, one a week. Two generations.

You win when the country supplies 99% of what it needs from its own people. You lose when the fiftieth ring closes first. Every run has a seed you can copy and hand to somebody, so two people can play the same country.

What it is a picture of

Every mechanic is something on the Peace Battle 2 page. The five percent is the part of a Targeted Individual's day the attacks leave, and twenty members with five percent each is a full working day. The cards are the goal board in PeerProgramming, where Show up with your percent says how a card works. The 384 is members exchanging with each other on one day, counted a day at a time. The 99% is what winning looks like. The game has a second tab, What this is, that walks through each of these without leaving it.

Nothing in it is a prediction. It is the shape of the thing, drawn so it can be held.

In the list of problems the app answers, Workforce sits next to three of them: being denied jobs for no good reason, job applications that loop and never submit, and coworkers who turn cold and push you out. Read quickly, that looks like a promise of work. It is not one. Nothing on Workforce hands you a job.

Workforce is a live simulation of individual and community potential. It shows what each of us could do, and what all of us could do together, and where the gaps are between that and today.

What it shows

The model starts from a population of five million survivors and the share of them who work. I cataloged the jobs, titles and skills a working economy that size needs, 713 skills today, and spread the working population across sectors by how much of an economy each sector makes up. That is the demand side.

The supply side is the Directory. Every active listing is read live and matched by sector, job title, and skill. Nothing is entered twice; when someone adds a skill to their listing, Workforce counts it.

A gap is the goal minus the people listed. The Overview tab puts them under Sector Opportunities, each row reading how many are recruited against the goal and how many are left to fill. The Occupations tab goes one level down, to job titles, largest gap first.

Why Finland

Right now the model runs against Finland. It is the only place with open data good enough to build it from: a country the right size, with its economy published in enough detail to say what a working population of that size actually does.

When the Directory is full, Workforce stops being a model and becomes a real-time view of how skills are distributed across a population at scale. Finland is the first place that view exists. The Skills Economy will be the second, ever.

How a gap becomes a living

Open Workforce and read the gaps. Sector Opportunities shows where the community is short; Occupations names the job titles.
Pick an outcome. It can be the smallest thing that closes part of one gap, or something ambitious. Both count.
Fill it yourself. A gap is a market nobody in the community is serving yet. Be the entrepreneur who serves it.
Or team up. The people already counted against a sector are listed by name, and each links to their Directory profile. Find somebody who has the skill and join their operation, or bring them into yours.
Post the goal on the PeerProgramming goal board. Break it into tasks a member of your cohort can do from a phone in under half an hour, and they take a task and post the result.

Why that answers those three problems

Traffickers do not hand people material help, so a place organized around giving each other something real filters them out. Being denied jobs, watching applications vanish, being pushed out of a workplace: each is a door somebody else controls. A gap you chose and filled, alone or with a member you found on the Directory, is a living earned without asking that person to open the door.

Financial modeling and cash flow management is knowing when money arrives and when it leaves, so a plan that adds up over a year does not run dry in March.

Why that matters here

Three specializations, all legal:

Knowing who started it

An ex can start it. Who put you on the list explains how you got here, and it matters up to a point. Past that point, everybody who joins runs the same schemes whoever started it, which is why knowing the name does not end it by itself. It does not matter who put you on the list goes into that.

Proving it

One incident can be denied. A pattern is much harder to deny.

Write down what happens, with the date, as it happens: what, when, where, and who if you know. ClickLog takes about fifteen seconds an incident, and your notes are not shown to anyone else here. Taking your accounts back

Accounts come back one at a time, from a device you trust.

Start with your email. Every other account resets its password through it, so whoever holds your email can take the rest back after you.
Give each account its own new password, and turn on two-step sign-in, where a code is needed as well as the password.
Every major account has a list of the devices signed into it. Sign out every one you do not recognize.
Check the recovery phone number and the backup email on each account. Somebody who changed those can take the account back after you change the password.

What jobs a Targeted Individual can get

The only two jobs I know of are truck driving and healthy-volunteer studies.

Truck driving

Trucking is a high-turnover field. Drivers leave all the time, so companies hire all the time, and a field that is always hiring is a better opportunity than one where every opening has a line of applicants.

Healthy-volunteer studies

Another Targeted Individual taught me about these. They are phase 1 clinical trials, where a drug company pays healthy people to test an upcoming medicine. It is contract work, and it turns over constantly too, because every study needs a new group of people. Past those two, the Skills Economy

Aside from those two, the answer is to join the Skills Economy.

Workforce tracks the skills a working economy of about five million people needs, sector by sector, and how many of them anybody in this community has. Read on October 2, the catalog held 713 skills, and the Directory's 171 people held 230 of them. 483 had nobody.

Some sectors are close to empty. Mining and extraction held 1 of its 12 skills. Emergency and reserve roles held 2 of 21. Energy and utilities held 3 of 20, water and sanitation 3 of 19, education 4 of 39.

None of that is a posted job. The number each sector needs is worked out from the size of a population, and nothing in it is advertised or applied for. It is a list of what has to get done and who can do it, and most of it is open.

Being findable for it

The Directory lists people and what they can do. Foundation is where members find somebody who offers a skill and arrange the work with them in a private chat. Being on the list is how somebody who needs what you do finds you, without anybody else standing in between.

What the Community Value Index counts

The Community Value Index is one number in the app. It adds up the help survivors trade with each other, such as a ride, a repair, a room or a lesson, and keeps a running count. Its goal is 300 billion points, not dollars.

In the spirit of GDP

A country's GDP adds up what its people make and do for each other. The Community Value Index does the same for this community, with two differences.

It never resets. It has counted since June 12, 2026, and every finished trade adds to it.

It is not money. Nothing in it can be cashed, priced, or swapped for a currency or a token. It is a measure of how much trading is happening, the way a thermometer reading is a measure of heat.

What counts

A trade counts once it is finished: a ride, a training session whose work was checked, a call or a job somebody quoted for, a home matched, a request completed, a regular arrangement both people confirmed, or credits sent from one member to another.

A trade in the app's credits adds the credits that moved. A favor or a swap has no amount, so each one adds one point. A trade priced in a currency is converted with fixed weights, so different currencies can be added together; the weights are not exchange rates.

What does not count

A post nobody has taken up yet. Open posts go in a separate figure, Value waiting to happen, which measures interest rather than anything finished. A post is only ever in one of the two.
Rewards and bonuses the app hands out. Those are not a trade between two people.
Help that never touches the app. Most help between survivors happens directly, and the index counts only what was arranged through the app.

The goal

300 billion comes from Finland. Survivors are estimated at five million worldwide, and Finland, at about five and a half million people, is the country the economic model is built against; its economy is about 300 billion a year by GDP. Singapore was added on top of that, for its public figure of what one worker's skills produce. TSE Baseline Explained sets out why Finland, and How the math works sets out the Singapore figure.

The goal borrows the size of that economy, not its currency. 300 billion is counted in the index's own points, the same points every finished trade adds, and none of them is a dollar.

It is a livelihood

Some of the reasons I would only be guessing at, and some I know and will not share here. What I will say is that for the people doing it, it is a livelihood.

Think of the transatlantic slave trade. It was free labor, and it was control, and the entire world economy benefited from it.

The people doing this launder money through the global economy. Placing their own people in positions is about control and money. Most of the people who know were brought in and paid for it: a job, an apartment, friends, a favor. An epidemic, not a secret society describes how that payment works.

Why organized crime exists

Asking why nobody stops it is like asking why organized crime exists. It exists for the same reason it always has, and nothing about that is new.

Stopping it would mean dismantling what feeds them and houses them. It is not happening to most people, and for most people that is all that matters. A few believe what they were told and think they are fighting crime. Those are few and far between.

Martin Luther King Jr. wrote about this kind of person in his Letter from Birmingham Jail in 1963: somebody "more devoted to 'order' than to justice."

Fair

W. E. B. Du Bois did not get a fair ending. Neither did Estonia. Most of what King wanted never happened. It is unfair, yes.

But there have been times when people chose to build alongside it rather than spend themselves on the conspiracy. King did not; he wanted integration. Du Bois and his cohort built their own schools, businesses, banks and press within one generation, which the two-generation goal goes into. Estonia built in the direction of needing its neighbor less, which Estonia did not get to solve it either goes into. They chose a different path, and they succeeded.

The people doing something about it are mostly the people it is being done to.

An epidemic, not a secret society

People keep reaching for the Illuminati, or a secret society. A secret society would be easier. It has a top, a membership and a door, and all three could be found. They are not a secret society goes into why the label is their own brag.

What I see is worse. Narcissists, and people worse than narcissists, in contact with each other across the world at a rate that has never been possible before, causing harm.

Nothing in the kit is new

None of the methods is new, and all of them already have names.

Performed kindness: kind words or acts delivered in a way that is not kind. The kindness is the cover, and the delivery is the content. How are you doing? is where I first wrote it down.
Weaponized kindness: a kind act used to deliver an insult. A door held open so something can be said on the way through.
Covert contract: a kindness with an unspoken bill attached. The psychologist Robert Glover named it in No More Mr. Nice Guy, in 2000. The other person never agreed to the deal, and when the thanks does not come, the kindness turns to anger.
The Nice Guy: the popular name for somebody who expects a reward for basic decency.
Performative allyship: loudly supporting a group, then turning on its members the moment one of them disagrees.

A driver pulled up close to me at a curb today, asked me to move, and flipped out when I stood there without thanking them. Not hitting a pedestrian is the bare minimum of holding a license. It is not a favor, and nobody owes thanks for it. That was a covert contract.

These are tools in a kit, and narcissists and people like them use the kit to manipulate.

How they are paid

This is also how they themselves are paid.

Somebody approaches a stranger with slander about a person the stranger may or may not know. Be nice to them here. Be mean to them there. The stranger receives something for it: sex, drugs, a job, friends. It starts at two years old and goes up from there. Who teaches them has more on how young.

We have an epidemic, not a secret society.

Ousted

When you do not have their form of payment, or do not want it, you are ousted from their economy.

A different exchange

The Skills Economy is a different exchange. What moves in it is material value: a repair, a ride, a room, an hour of somebody's trade. Not raw emotional sabotage.

Start with socks

This follows What's Your 1%?, which ran the economy math backwards from 50,000 people to the one person serving them. This is a company that did it, starting with a product every Targeted Individual already owns.

A mill that made other people's socks

Marc Cabot founded Cabot Hosiery Mills in Northfield, Vermont, in 1978. For decades it made private-label socks for retail chains such as Gap: other companies' names on its work.

In the early 2000s those contracts moved overseas, and the business nearly collapsed.

One product, made to last

Ric Cabot, Marc's son, did not chase cheaper labor abroad. In 2004 he launched Darn Tough, with one promise: socks good enough that nobody needs to buy replacements. Every pair carries a lifetime guarantee. Wear one out, send it back, get a new pair, no receipt needed. Fewer than 1% are returned in a year.

Twenty years later the company employs more than 300 people across three Vermont sites, sells over 5 million pairs a year, and takes in more than $50 million.

The math

Everybody wears socks. Five million pairs a year is one pair for every person in the population the Workforce screen models.

Fifty million dollars across 5 million pairs is about $10 a pair. A pair sells for $15 to $33 on a shelf; the difference is the stores' share.

The average contributor in What's Your 1% brings in $142,500 a year. At $20 a pair, that is 7,125 pairs. In a population of five million, that is about one person in 700 buying one pair, once, in a year.

That is the low end, and it is a living. The high end is Darn Tough's own number. Somebody can start at the average and decide later, or decide now, to aim at the top.

Nothing here goes offshore

Darn Tough's turn came when its work moved overseas. For us that question is already settled. Targeted Individuals have been pushed out of the global economy, so there is no cheaper country to move the work to. What gets made here is made by people here, for people here.

Not a forecast

Same as the 1% tab: this is arithmetic, not a forecast of anybody's income. What actually happens takes talent, work and luck. Socks are one example. Any product everybody uses runs on the same arithmetic, and the What's your 1% tab in Workforce runs it for your own trade.

It is self-defense

Self-defense is more than a cultural idea. It has legal standing.

The plain case is the one everybody already accepts. A stranger comes at you and starts to attack. You answer with equal force. That is self-defense, and nobody in their right mind argues with it. None of this is legal advice.

What the law does not see

Among Targeted Individuals, it is understood that what we do to protect ourselves is self-defense. What is done to us is built to fall below the line where the law starts looking. It runs on plausible deniability: each act small enough to deny on its own. Microaggressions is the nearest word I have, and I am not sure it is the right one, or that a word for it exists yet. Either way, microaggressions are not part of the legal frame of self-defense.

A shove in passing is almost never treated as an assault. That is why it is one of the methods used on me most. But a shove repeated, and organized, is something else, and taking steps so that it stops happening is self-defense by any ordinary understanding. The legal category may not exist yet, or nobody has found how to prosecute it. What it would describe exists.

The objection

People say the Skills Economy might not work, and some of that is about its age. I started it in September 2025, so it is a year old, and interference with employment and not being able to pay for hosting have disrupted it along the way.

Targeting has existed for centuries. The modern version, aimed at the people this is built for, has run for decades.

The argument against Targeted Individuals coming together is nearly always made from the outside. What would they think? What would they do? Will they come harder?

Nobody defends themselves that way

Self-defense does not start by assessing the other person's next move. Something is happening, and the question is how you protect yourself. Nobody in the middle of it asks what the person attacking them will think of them for defending themselves.

When a stranger does it, nobody debates it. When a network does it, the same reasoning holds as a matter of culture, even though the law does not yet name the crime. Defending yourself gives you more than a reason. It gives you a justification.

A toolbox

That is the frame for the Skills Economy: a set of self-defense tools that do not require harming anybody.

Set aside whether you agree about who is doing this. The tactics are the same whoever is behind them. A dated record of what happens, in ClickLog. People and what they can do, in the Directory. Help exchanged between members, in Foundation. A ride, in TrustTransport. A place to stay, in LightHouse.

There is no legal framework that gives us self-defense against this. These give us a position of self-defense without one.

Will it make things worse?

Whether coming together makes them angrier is a different conversation. I have been targeted for more than thirty years and have spent time around other Targeted Individuals, and my targeting did not change because of it.

Each person has a set plan, an abuse plan written for them. It is built to torture that one person, so who is around you does not change it.

What the questions ask

Jessica's questions on Quora are public. Three of them:

Read together, they ask for three things: somebody to tell, a way to know for sure, and a way out. Nobody should have to work those out alone, and none of them is a question this list is new to.

Somebody to tell

I answered the first question in Who to report it to. The short version: I do not know of a local office that takes a report of the entire pattern and acts on it. A police report carries one incident, described as the crime it is. The United Nations collects reports of the pattern, as the human rights violation it is.

The telling that helps most is often not a report. The Commons is a group chat of other Targeted Individuals, and nobody there needs the first hour of a conversation spent on whether it is happening.

A way to know

Wanting to catch them usually starts with wanting to be sure. What gets you there is a record: dated, written as it happens, not reconstructed from memory months later. ClickLog takes about fifteen seconds an incident, and your notes are not shown to anyone else here. Over weeks, a record shows you the pattern yourself, before anybody else has to believe it.

A way out

Moving is the question almost everybody on this list has asked. It followed you is the longer answer. The short one is that a move holds better when there are people at the other end of it.

Dr. King's last campaign was economic. In 1968 he went to Memphis for sanitation workers on strike for a union, after two of them, Echol Cole and Robert Walker, were crushed in a garbage truck. He was killed there on April 4. Twelve days later the strike ended with the city recognizing the union and agreeing to terms.

A march makes a demand. When the demand is won, it becomes an agreement, and somebody has to be able to write it: find what the rules already say, and put the new terms into words that still hold when the other side reads them differently.

Their Directory listing carries one skill: legal research and drafting. Research is finding out what a law, a lease, or a policy already says. Drafting is writing the thing itself — a letter, an agreement, a complaint — so that it says what it means and nothing else.

Why that one skill matters here

Read on September 28, the Directory lists 163 people. The catalog behind it carries 713 skills, the things a working economy of about five million people needs somebody to be able to do. 226 of them are held by somebody on the list, and 487 by nobody.

Legal research and drafting appears on exactly one listing, and it is Krissyy's.

Much of what survivors carry is paper. A lease somebody else wrote. A notice with a deadline. A report that was never filed, or was filed and went nowhere. The people on this list arrange things between themselves, a room or a ride or an hour of a trade, and most of that never needs anything written. Some of it does, and when it does, it needs somebody who can read the paper and write the answer.

What this is not

This is not a request for legal advice or representation, and nothing here says Krissyy is a lawyer or offers to act as one. Research and drafting is a skill. Practicing law takes a license. The listing claims the first and says nothing about the second.

It is also not a request to take on anybody's case. Being on a list of what a person can do is not an offer of anything, and the Directory has never worked that way.

A working economy needs people who know where things go. Waste leaves a building and ends up somewhere. Water comes in and has to go back out clean. A place people live in for years has land around it, and that land changes. None of it is anybody's first thought about building something together, and all of it decides whether the thing lasts.

Five of the specializations are environmental work, and they fit together:

Biodiversity monitoring and habitat assessment is finding out what is on a piece of land and what state it is in.
Pollution control system design is building the thing that keeps a site from fouling what is around it.
Waste-flow modeling and policy evaluation is working out where waste actually goes, and whether a rule about it does what it says.
Enforcement actions and corrective plans is what happens when something has gone wrong: what has to change, and in what order.
Community outreach and stewardship programs is getting the people who live somewhere to look after it themselves.

Why that matters here

The app keeps a catalog of 713 skills, the things a working economy of about five million people needs somebody to be able to do, grouped by sector. Read on September 28, the Directory's 163 people held 226 of them.

Two sectors are close to empty. Environmental and Waste Management: 6 of its 25 skills are held by anybody on the list. Water and Sanitation: 3 of 19.

Most plans people make here assume those two are covered. A room, a shared house, a community somebody could live in for years: each one produces waste and needs clean water from the first day, and nobody notices the work until it stops being done.

What this is not

What to do with knowing who

Knowing some of the people involved feels like it should change everything. Mostly it changes what you write down.

It already has a name at work

In the 1980s a Swedish researcher, Heinz Leymann, gave a name to something he kept finding in workplaces: a group turning on one colleague, over months, until the person left or broke down. He called it mobbing.

What it looks like from inside is a run of things that are each ordinary on their own. A rumor that arrives at a new job before you do. Being left out of the meeting, the email, the information you need to do the work. Mistakes that appear in work you know you checked. Complaints about you that nobody will say out loud or put a name to. Colleagues who were fine last month and now act together.

Any one of those happens to people for ordinary reasons. The pattern is what makes it Specterati harassment rather than a bad job.

Why work is where it lands hardest

The questions I have saved on this over the last two years ask whether most Targeted Individuals are employed, whether this can keep you from getting a job at all, how to deal with it when it is coming from coworkers or from management.

Work is where the income is. Pushing somebody out of a job cuts them off from money, from the colleagues who might have backed them up, and from the reference that gets the next job. Doing it again at the next job teaches the person that working at all is the problem. Most survivors I know of were pushed out of employment at some point, and not by accident.

What to do with it

Two things, and neither of them is legal advice.

Questions from a bot, bans for the people answering

Quora runs a bot called Quora Prompt Generator. It writes questions that no person asked and posts them for people to answer. A question that exists is a page, and a page with answers is something the platform can show.

Some of those questions are about Targeted Individuals.

Four of seventeen

For the last few weeks I have been answering, here, questions I once opened on Quora and never finished. Before writing each one, I check who asked it. Of the first seventeen, four were written by that bot:

Is it possible for targeted individuals to stop being harassed by gang stalkers? If so, what methods have been successful in stopping the harassment?

What is the longest period of time someone has been a target of gang stalking?

How can I build a support network to help me manage the stress and fear associated with feeling gang stalked?

How can someone identify if they are being targeted by "gang-stalkers"? What steps should they take if they suspect they are being followed or watched by strangers?

Those are the words the bot chose. The Dictionary carries the vocabulary I use instead.

They are not bad questions. They are the questions survivors ask. The platform knows what we ask closely enough to write it for us.

Fifty-six

Quora has erased my accounts fifty-six times. The standing record of every handle, when it opened and when it was banned, is Old links, new links. Some lasted days. Some lasted minutes.

I do not advocate violence. What I write on Quora is what I write here: what is being done, what the people it is done to can do about it, and where to find each other.

So the platform generates questions about Targeted Individuals, addressed to Targeted Individuals, and removes the Targeted Individuals who answer them. The questions are wanted. The people who can answer them are not.

What I do with the questions now

A question is answered here when a person asked it. A bot's question is answered only when people have been asking the same thing in their own words, which the first one had, so I answered it. The other three I leave alone.

The answers live on this blog now, at addresses that do not get erased. Quora gets a short version and a link back. The conversation under each post happens in Fireside, in the app.

In what I have seen, both: parents, and strangers.

Parents

Where the parents take part, their children do too. I have not seen an exception. I have watched parents bring children into it as young as two.

A child that age is not choosing anything. They are doing what the adults around them do and are rewarded for, the way a child learns anything else at home.

Strangers

It does not run the other way. Some children take part while one or both of their parents do not, and do not know. Those children are taught by strangers.

The recruiting runs on slander. Somebody is told a story about the target, is swayed by it, and is offered something for acting on it: sex, drugs, a job. I wrote that list down in My call to action in January, and Count the recruits has more of what is handed out. The research on the Stasi, East Germany's secret police, found the same about the people who informed for it: some did it for free, some for the enjoyment, and some for favors.

Adults first

My targeting started at five, and it was adults first. Then the children.

An adult stranger "recognizes" a five-year-old, has a deep hatred for them, and does not know them. That is perverse, and it is what made it obvious.

The targeting ran through school from there. What about school? is about that.

Why a teenager seems to know so much

A teenager who knows a lot has usually been taking part for years. What looks like knowledge at sixteen is a habit that started before they could have understood it.

Who to report it to

I do not know of a local office that takes a report of the entire pattern and acts on it. I would rather say that plainly than send anybody to a door that does not open.

That is not the end of the answer. It splits into four smaller ones.

What a report can carry

A police report records an incident. A break-in, damage to a car, a threat, somebody following you onto private property: each of those is a crime with a name, and it is reported as what it is. I have called the police on individual incidents, and gone to a station over one.

What a single report was not built to hold is the pattern: many people, many days, each act small enough to explain away on its own. That is the part that makes this Specterati harassment rather than a run of bad luck, and it is also the part a report form has no box for.

None of this is legal advice, and it does not tell anybody what to do when a report goes nowhere. It is what a report is.

Where the pattern can be reported

The United Nations collects reports of this, because it is a human rights violation and it happens in every country rather than one. The Special Rapporteur on Torture, who reports to the UN Human Rights Council, takes submissions from individuals. The Rapporteur's 2020 report to the Council (A/HRC/43/49) addressed coordinated harassment as a category and said the volume of allegations warrants investigation rather than dismissal.

A report there does not bring anybody to your door. It adds to the record that report was written from, and that record is also where my estimate of five million survivors worldwide begins.

Keep your own record first

Whoever you end up telling, what makes it possible to tell anybody is a record: dated, written as it happens, not reconstructed a year later from memory.

An RSS feed reader nobody can close

The feed you read on a platform is arranged by somebody else. Not written by them — arranged. What is at the top, what is buried, what arrives the day it would land hardest. That is a decision, it is made about you, and you did not make it.

An RSS feed reader takes the arranging away. I will call it a reader for the rest of this post. It fetches what a site publishes, in the order it was published, and puts it in a list. Nothing ranks it. Nothing is inserted. Nothing knows what you opened.

Two ways to use this

The first needs no account anywhere, and nothing from me. Any reader app, one address:

Paste that into whatever reader you like and every post here turns up on its own. Nobody sits in the middle of that — not me, not a company. It is the same mechanism every podcast runs on, so most people have used one without knowing.

The second is for people who would rather not install or configure anything. I now run a reader you can sign into, on a server I pay for:

You sign in with the Skills Economy account you already have. Two feeds are in it already, so the first screen is not empty: this blog, at the address above, and my own channel of demo videos of the app. Those two are the only things put there, and you can remove either. Everything else you read, you add yourself.

What each person subscribes to is theirs. There is no shared list, no comments, no way for one account to see another, and nothing any account does is visible to anybody else on it. It is a private reading list that happens to live on my machine rather than yours.

Adding anything else you read

Most sites publish a feed, and most people have never had a reason to look for one.

To subscribe to a site in the reader I host, sign in at rss.chargingthefuture.com, then:

Copy the address of the site you want. The ordinary address is usually enough — the reader looks for the feed itself.
Press the + beside "Subscriptions management".
Paste the address into the "Feed URL" field and submit.

If the reader comes back saying it found nothing, the site either publishes no feed or hides it. Look on the page for a link marked RSS; that address is the one to paste.

Categories are optional. A feed you do not file lands in "Uncategorized" and works the same.

Reading only what came before a date you choose

This is the part I use most and it is the reason I wanted a reader at all.

Here is what I used to do. Open YouTube and type the thing I need with a cutoff after it:

That date is my 24/7 online psyop date. I read what was published before it.

Find a channel worth following and it got worse. Open the channel page, sort oldest to newest, scroll past everything after the date by hand, and then watch each video on a page built to put other things in front of me — a column of recommendations down the side, comments underneath — with psyop content spread across all of it.

Now I read all of it in the reader instead. The cutoff date is set once for each feed, and after that I do nothing. This is my sidebar in the reader:

Two kinds of source. The category I called Psyop free holds the ones that will never carry psyop content — this blog is one — and those have no filter at all. Everything else carries its own date. Open the feed's settings (the gear beside it under Subscription management), find Filter actions and the box under "Mark an article as read…", and put one line in it:

pubdate:2024-12-31/

That is everything published from December 31, 2024 onward — the side you do not want. Anything matching arrives already read, so the feed opens on what came before your date and nothing else. The filter sits on the feed rather than on the account, which is what I wanted: a source I trust is never filtered by mistake, and two sources can carry different dates.

Pick your own date: the one you are confident is your psyop free date.

Two settings make it behave the way you expect:

Configuration → Reading → "Articles to display", set to unread only, so what the filter caught stays out of the way.
The "Preview filters on existing articles" button, beside the box, which shows what the line would catch before you press Submit.

Three things worth knowing:

The filter runs on articles as they arrive, not on what is already sitting there. So set it when you add the feed. If the feed is already there, clear the backlog once by hand: open that feed, search pubdate:2024-12-31/, and mark all of it as read. The filter takes it from there.

Nothing is deleted. The articles it catches are marked read, not thrown away, so switching to all articles still shows them when you want to look.

The search box takes the same syntax turned around, for a one-off look at what came before a date without setting anything:

pubdate:/2024-12-31

If every source you read should carry the same date, the same box exists once for the account, under Configuration → Reading, and applies to every feed present and future. I keep mine on the feeds, because not every source needs one.

YouTube channels, where that filter has nothing to bite on

A YouTube channel does publish a feed, and it carries only the newest videos. So a cutoff finds nothing to work with: what you wanted was never delivered in the first place, and no filter reaches what never arrived.

The way around it is to collect the channel's upload list once and publish that as a feed of its own. I have the machinery for it, and the first channel is done. It is christitustechnical (archive) in the sidebar above, under Tech, and its 237 are the videos it published before my date. A collected feed carries the catalog rather than the last fortnight, and there are two ways to keep it to your date. The first is the filter above, set on that feed when you add it: a collected channel delivers its entire catalog on the first fetch, and the filter is what decides which half of it lands unread. The second is to have the feed cut at your date before it is published, so nothing after it ever reaches the reader and that feed needs no filter at all. Mine are cut that way. Those feeds live in a repository of their own, apart from this blog, with its own note on what a listing there does and does not mean: https://github.com/chargingthefuture/rss-feeds. A channel being collected says one person reads it, and nothing else.

Each entry carries the player, so the video plays inside the reader. No comments, no column of recommendations, nothing from elsewhere on the site; what it offers when a video ends comes from the same channel. The page around the video was most of what I was enduring, and it is gone.

If you want a channel collected, book me on Foundation and put the channel address in the request. If you want the feed cut at your date rather than filtered by you, say so and give the date. I run it and send you the feed address to paste in. It is a task like any other on there, which means it is recorded and settled the way the rest of them are.

One caveat, said plainly: the upload dates on a collected channel are worked out from labels like "2 years ago", so they are close rather than exact. Leave a month or two of margin either side of a cutoff that matters.

What it does not do

It cannot reach back before you start. A feed carries only its most recent items, so what you get on day one is what is sitting in each feed that day, and everything after that accumulates. Nothing older was ever in anything my server saw, so no filter reaches it. The exception is a YouTube channel I have collected, above, where the catalog is put into the feed on purpose.

That matters less here than it sounds. Every post on this blog is on this blog, and the archive of what was posted elsewhere is here too. The reader is for going forward.

It also will not tell you when something arrives. It sits there until you open it. That is good if your phone already asks too much of you. If you want to be told when something arrives, it is a real drawback.

Who pays for it, and when you could lose your spot

I pay for the reader server. That is the entire economics of it. It is worth saying that now.

A place on it is something you get by finishing the check on the app, or by contributing to what it costs. If the bill makes it necessary, places go to the people who did one of those. That is not a ban, and it is nothing to do with your account: nobody loses the app, or anything in it, over a reader.

Two things do get an account banned, and they are the same two the app already names: signing up to harass people here, including through the address an account signs up with, and running a second account when you already have one. A ban closes the account itself, so it closes this with it.

Not finishing the check on the app is not one of them, and never will be. You stay where you are, for as long as it takes.

Why bother at all

Quora has erased my accounts fifty-three times. Not one of those erasures cost me a sentence — every post is in a repository I control. What they cost was people knowing where I had gone.

A feed cannot be closed that way. There is no account to suspend, no address I am holding, and no company standing between the list and the person reading it. That is true of the first option above whether or not I am still here, which is why the address is the thing worth keeping rather than any account of mine.

The reader I host is a convenience on top of that, and it depends on me. The blog's feed address does not.

New here? Three things to do first

The app has twenty-eight parts. You sign in and land on the Commons, a shared chat, with a grid of everything else one tap away. It is a fair place to not know where to start, and nobody should have to read a guide to find out. So, three things, in the order to do them.

1. Send your Quora profile address

Almost everything in the app waits on one step. On the Unlock screen you paste the web address of your own Quora profile and send it. A person reads it; no machine decides. The screen shows what the address should look like, why it is asked for, and where your submission has got to.

If you cannot find the address, the same screen has a button, "Ask for help in the Commons", and you ask there. Nobody is removed for being slow with this, for not finding it, or for asking for help instead. You stay where you are, for as long as it takes.

2. While you wait, write

Before approval you can look but not take part, with two doors left open on purpose.

One is under every post on this blog. Fireside is the conversation underneath, and writing there happens in the app: press the button under a post and it carries you across to that exact conversation. What you write is held until you are approved, and the screen says so.

The other is the Knowledge Library, where you lend your own public Quora writing to the app's assistant, so it can answer from more than one person's experience.

Both are open before approval for the same reason. Judging what somebody wrote means looking at a real person writing real things, which is the same look the check asks for, so your writing goes into the same queue as your profile address. Writing is a way in, not something to do while waiting for one.

3. Once approved, put your skills on the Directory

The Directory is a list of members and what they can do, and it is the number one thing survivors have asked for. Add your name, a line about yourself if you want one, where you are, and at least one skill. It takes five minutes, once.

Most of the help that happens between members never touches the app and is never recorded in it. The listing is what makes it possible, because it is how another member finds you.

After that

With whatever is left of a day, there is the goal board: one small task toward somebody else's goal, from a phone, in under half an hour. Show up with your percent says how it works.

And if you forget all of this, the Commons has a chip above the box you type in that reads "I'm new. What do I do first?" Tap it and these three come back on the spot.

Show up with your percent

Most of a Targeted Individual's day is not theirs. It goes to the attacks and to what they force: moving again, watching the people around you, sleeping badly or not at all, and doing ordinary things that have been made slow on purpose. What is left at the end of it might be five percent. Some days it is nothing.

Five percent is not enough to reach a goal alone. A job in another state, a vehicle you can live in, a move that holds: each one is a chain of small steps, research and calls and follow-ups, done in order over weeks. The attacks land on the chain. A step gets missed, the order breaks, and it starts over. Anybody living this knows the shape of it, and knows that telling somebody in it to try harder is telling them to have a day they do not have.

The arithmetic changes when the five percent is not all one person's. Twenty members with five percent of a day each is a working day. Nobody in it had more time than they had. That is what the goal board runs on.

What it is

PeerProgramming now opens on a Goals tab, and the tab is a board.

You post one goal with a finish line. You break it into cards: small tasks somebody else could do from a phone in under half an hour. Find three yards hiring near Dallas and add their numbers. Find three campers under six thousand dollars within two hundred miles of Tulsa. Ask one dealer whether they finance with no credit check.

The cards sit in three columns: Up for grabs, Doing, Done. You pick any one card, from anybody's goal. You do it, you post what you found, and it moves to Done with your name on it. The goal's owner reads the result and marks it "It helped", keeps it, or sends it back for somebody else. That is the entire loop.

There is no conversation on the board. A goal, its cards, and their results, and nothing else can be written there. The weekly sessions and the call are still in PeerProgramming.

Why it is shaped this way

I have tried group chats for this three ways and none of them held. Who shows up on a day depends on how hard that day was, so the chat is a different room every time. It slides from doing into comparing notes, which is talk about the attacks, and the attacks already have most of the day. And on an open chat there is no filter: anybody put out can come back under a new name the same evening.

The board sits inside the app, behind Unlock, so taking part needs an approved account, and an approved account is not something you can rejoin under a new name. A card is one task with one result, so there is nothing to slide into. And a card asks for one small thing, once, so a bad day costs nothing: you take a card when you have the half hour, and you do not when you do not. Nobody is waiting on you to appear.

What counts

When the goal's owner marks a card "It helped", it counts. It goes toward the day's 384, the count of members who delivered something to another member on one day, and toward the helper's Weavers of the Commons badge. Both are defined on the Dictionary. A card kept without that mark, or sent back, does not count, and nobody but the goal's owner and the helper sees which it was. A finished card is a finished card to the rest of the cohort.

Step three

Peace Battle 2 used to ask, as its third step, that you post your one percent. It now asks that you show up with your percent. Whatever is left of today, that is one card.
